Surgery: Excess fat and skin is removed from the lower abdomen, the remaining skin is re-draped and the underlying muscles tightened. Your navel will be repositioned. The procedure is done under general anaesthesia with overnight stay. A mini-abdominoplasty addresses only the lowermost part of the abdomen, usually combined with liposuction and can be done under local anaesthesia with conscious sedation.
